In reference to the Chromium Bend that HMS Processing (PTY)LTD installs:

The normal wear range for the 280mm Saddled is between 30 000 to 40 000tons. The average time for the bend to wear was an estimated 3 weeks- from installation up until the bend was completely worn.

The current Chromium bend is still running and has an estimated lifespan of 240 000 tons. If taken into consideration, the downtime of 6-8 hours to change the bend and all the additional costs should Wraptech be applied to assist in the longevity of the bend.

Thus, we would highly suggest HMS Chromium bends as it is the most cost-effective way of keeping your plant operational with way less maintenance on all the high wear bends.
