· The Contractor shall have a person’s competent to carry a 2.6.1 and
2.9.2 MHSA appointment with the necessary subordinate
responsibilities.
· Regular inspections are undertaken by the DMR during which all the
Contractors’ legal appointees are held accountable for their area of
responsibility.
The Contractor is responsible for the following in their areas of responsibility for both the Contractor and Sub-Contractor employees and equipment:
· Competencies.
· Medicals.
· Baseline Risk Assessment.
· Machine Maintenance Files.
· Tool Lists and Inspections.
· High Risk Verifications.
· Risk Assessments.
· PTO’s.
· Legal Compliance.
· Updating and Revising SWP’s and COP’s.
· Training and Compliance to all the Mine’s Health and Safety Systems.
· Compliance to Department of Health on Nuclear Source
Requirements.
All other safety requirements are to be complied with e.g.
· Lifting Equipment and Lifting and Hoisting Activities.
· Isolation and Lock out of Stored Energy.
· TMM’s.
· Confined Spaces.
· Hazardous Chemicals.
· Excavations.
· Drowning.
· Moving Machinery.
· Materials Handling.
· Electrical Safety.
· Working at Heights.
· Emergency Preparedness.
· Inrushes and Outbursts.
· All incidents and accidents are to be reported and investigated as per
the Principal’s protocols.
